Visit from Grandpa!!

We were lucky enough to have a quick visit from my dad, aka Abigail's Grandpa!! My dad has a route to Laredo and we were on the way. Abigail was very happy to see him, as we were too! We spent a little play time together and went out to lunch. I am sure we were the talk of the neighborhood with my dad's semi and trailer parked out in front of our us. You know small town living, it was probably the excitement of the day!

July 2009

July is about done, but what an exciting month we have been having! Abigail continues to amaze us! It is fun watching her learn new things and see how mad she gets when she can't get it. Too cute for words!! This month she started going to the Learning Center once a week while I teach a yoga class and get a few things done at home without interruptions. Abigail gets to be around babies her age, which I feel is beneficial to get that socialization with her peers. We have also recently met a a couple cool moms in the area with children around her age, so we are looking forward to some get togethers.

I was asked to write an article about my birth experience and the benefits of yoga for The South Texas Moms group. I felt very honored and happy to help! My article is posted on their blog if you like to check it out: Also it looks like we may be teaching Mommy & Baby Yoga classes again soon at the Brenham Gymnastics Center. I can't wait, that was something I really looked forward to each week with Abigail. Not only does the class provide an opportunity to build some strength, flexibility, reduce stress, but a great way to meet other mom's and babies.

Our next big adventure will be going to Minnesota to visit and see all our family. This will be Abigail's first trip and plane ride. I am a bit nervous about flying with her. I hope she does well, but am excited to be able to see family, her baptism, and celebrating her birthday! It is going to be one exciting adventure!

Here are a few random photos of the Abster! She loves chewing on any toys she can get her mouth on, so I am anticipating more teeth soon. She is getting so strong, won't be long and she is going to be walking around. Watch out world we will soon have another toddler on the loose!

Our new lawn mowers...

We had some visitors today, 3 big beautiful visitors that is! Enjoying our grass and bird feed. This is our big excitement today, watching the three horses and watching the Bellville police department find the owners. I have to say I love this kind of excitement!! One of the many wonderful joys of living in a small country town.

Another visitor we have often in our bird feeder is this sneaky squirrel! I enjoy watching him, though he is hogging the bird food!

10 months have flown by....

Yesterday Abigail turned 10 months old, it almost went by without notice, opps. So much has happened in 10 months and I can't believe how much our little baby girl has grown and changed. She now has teeth coming in, scooting around, and blabbering away. She loves moving and grooving all over the house now, yikes we need to babyproof!

We had a nice girl weekend for the 4th of July. Salinda came for a weekend visit, and we spent time catching up, shopping around Bellville and Brenham, and eating some yummy food at the local restaurants in town. Of course Ryan was working, so he missed out on all the fun! Well actually, he could care less about the shopping, but eating that is a different story.

Today I have been spending the day playing Abigail, doing our normal chores, and planning our August trip to Minnesota to see family, celebrate Abigail's birthday, and also have her baptized. I am a bit nervous about flying and traveling such a distance's with her. Thoughts in my head, how will she be on the plane, what do I need to bring on the plane and pack for our trip....oh how the mind likes to think. What I need to do is stay in the present moment and trust that it will all work out as it should. So here in the present moment, Abigail having fun playing with her train and clapping, whoohoo!!
