Home Sweet Home

Made it back home Wednesday, after which was an entertaining drive for Ab's and I. Singing, clapping hands, jamming to tunes! That is what we do in the car when she isn't napping or she would not be a happy girl. I can't blame her it is a long drive and being buckled in for hours is no fun. But we make it fun!

So now that we are home, I have a list of to do's a mile long. You know the fun stuff, piles of mail and bills are what you come back to when you have been gone from home! Also on my list networking to teach more yoga classes, looking into teaching family yoga, yoga workshops, etc... Excited to share that I will be volunteering at the Texas Yoga Conference in Houston, so now to find a sitter. Also networking my mom's antique store, which is another fun passion of mine. Be sure to check out her Facebook Fanpage~Country Collection Antiques and More, that I created. Now onto getting ready for my friend Stacy Wooster's baby shower which I am hosting with three other fab gals!! Oh and it is tax season, good thing during the year I keep most of our expenses and deductions in a spreadsheet. Most important I need to check out colleges, put in my application, check on financial aid/grants, etc... Visit the preschool and get Ab's enrolled as well. Plus household duties and being a mama to my beautiful sweet daughter!! Nothing to complain about, love being busy!! So using my skills of organization and creativity to get it all done. Plus the help of hubby too!!

Alright enough work for now, it is cuddle time with my baby!

Sometimes things are blessings in disguise! Almost two weeks ago my hubby got the call from the railroad, that he would have to work in Corpus Christi. Now this happened once a couple months ago and he ended up having to work about two months there. We all dread that call because we never know how long he will have to work there or when he will be able to come home. This time Ab's and I were able to pack up and go with, I didn't have much on my schedule and didn't have to worry about what to do with the dog. Us girls were just planning on spending a week, however the week has turned into a week and half. We have been able to enjoy time with friends here, yoga, workshop (pic of the very wonderful and inspiring teacher Manorama), teaching yoga, eating at some of our fav places, etc... Luckily Ryan hasn't had to work the entire time either so he has been able to spend time with us too and get in some golfing. In addition, we have been enjoying some beautiful walks on the beach! Abigail was able to spend time hanging with a few of her best friends. See pic of the cute friendship these two girls have, one of my best friends daughter. Actually I have been able to spend time with all my besties!! It sure has been a wonderful time here in Corpus. So grateful for my wonderful amazing friends here!! Next time I won't take as long to come back and visit. Hopefully it won't be because Ryan gets called to work here, instead just a fun planned trip. We will be taking off in a day or two and head back for home, as once again Ryan will be able to work near home again.

This trip has brought me some more inspiration from a workshop I attended, gratefullness for friends, and most important my love for family! Blessings to you all!! Be sure to look at all the wonderful things you already have and be grateful for those blessings!!

Tea anyone?

At our house since all of our family lives in Minnesota we are always getting boxes delivered to our house. Today a boxed arrived for Abigail, a Christmas present from friends in Minnesota (thanks Mark & Pat). Since this Christmas she has had some practice opening presents and now she is really getting it down! Just love the ohhhh's!! She is loving her new tea set and I have to say so am I. Tea is one of my favorite things, so we are having fun pretending!

Sixteen Months Old and the New Year!!

Abigail is growing up way too fast! Hard to believe she will be 16 months old tomorrow, January 5th. She is becoming more of her own unique person everyday! So much fun to laugh and be with, brings so much joy into our lives! Not only that, I learn from her, just how something so simple can be so much fun and interesting. You know "the eyes through a child". Everyday she is learning and trying something new. Lots of talking and trying out new words! She loves to stack things, like her blocks, put her toys on her Dora car or in her grocery cart and push them around the house. Still very much into her books!

When something doesn't go her way, she tries and tries and then in the end if she can't get what it is she is trying to do work, she gets mad. So cute! She likes to push the buttons on the DVR and when I tell her NO, she turns around, tells me NO and then laughs. I have to try and keep from laughing or smiling back, but it is just too darn cute!

Abigail is still very much a mama's girl, but recently started to sit a little more with daddy. Here she is last evening with daddy. Daddy starts vacation tomorrow! Grandparents from the northland are coming to camp out for a few days at our house before they leave for Arizona. During this time we are going to finally get a bathtub in our house!

Right now we are starting to transition down to the one nap a day. So we will see how that works out in the next week or so.

Looking forward to all the new adventures in 2010!! As many of you know, I am always reading and researching about yoga for myself and my students. So this year when I was thinking about making resolutions, I didn't. Instead I came across the following from another blog (http://lindasyoga.blogspot.com) and I just love it and I think I am going to make it my intention to focus on the list below. Some maybe more then others, but I think there is a few on the list that each of us could put on our own 2010 resolution list, if we made one. Love to hear what each one of you did for resolutions.

1. Drink plenty of water.

2. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like beggar.

14. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
