Hats

My hubby has lots of hats and they seem to be everywhere, but the kids do love to play with them! Here I caught them having some fun!

Abigail, serious in camo!

Aidan, going for he gangster look! He was dancing as I took the picture.

Finished Patio

As promised, here are pictures of the patio finished. Hubby did an awesome job!! He has a few items he is going to make to add to patio to decorate/yard art, but we are waiting for those items to arrive from Minnesota, which will be next week when my parents come for a visit! Here is what is coming and you can use your imagination as to what he will do with them: an old wagon wheel, bowling ball, old bird house.

Next year we will put in a nice outdoor fireplace! As we find good deals on patio furniture we will add those and some potted plants.

I love the table Ryan made for it, I saw it on pinterest!

My Sous Chef

Abigail loves to help out in the kitchen. Today she helped count the cookies and
then crushed them all.

Little man helped sample the cookies to make sure they were good!

Giddy Up!!

My hubby is an awesome daddy, so great he pretends to be a horse and give rides! Who needs a real horse when you have daddy!

Nine Years Ago, our first date!

Wow!! Nine years ago, August 17 2003, I went on a somewhat blind date with a man named Ryan. I call it somewhat as we met online first, so we were somewhat familiar with each other. But August 17 was when we first met face to face and went on our first date! I remember it, as I was thinking no big deal, had no expectations. You see I was divorced and my friends would set me up on dates and well I have some good stories from those, but I was really over the dating thing at the time, but God had other plans!

Anyhow, we had a great first date, we went to the Owatonna fair and then ate at Applebee's. From there our relationship grew and flourished, not to say that it has always been easy and rosie in the nine years, but I am thankful for those times when it wasn't easy, as it made us stronger and both better spouses and now parents to two wonderful little blessings! I am so thankful and blessed to have met  Ryan and marry him! He has taken me from Minnesota, all over Texas and now our home in Kentucky. I have got to experience living in different areas of Texas, which as you know is its own country (not really but it does seem that way coming from Minnesota), meeting many wonderful people, completed yoga training, and got to eat some of the best food in America, which by the way is in Texas. So far our journey has been a wonderful and I look forward to all the many more we have together! I have definitely grown as a person and I have my hubby to thank for that! I love you to the moon and back and then some!!! Thank you hubby for all that you to do provide for us, making me laugh, teaching me new things (some I never dreamed of), being a wonderful father to our children, and just plain ol loving me for who I am!!

Here are a few pictures of us as a couple through out the nine years. Not so many in the beginning, when we were dating and got married, but that was before cell phones took pictures. Wow how times have changed!! :)

Abigail's first day at her last year of preschool

Another reminder of how fast time goes by. Today Abigail had her first day at preschool for the new year. Next year kindergarten, definitely not ready for that and not going to think about or at least try not to. So we will be soaking in this year! We had orientation last week and it is going to be an exciting year of learning and getting prepared for kindergarten, plus also fun!! Abigail was ready to go to school the moment she woke up and all morning we had to listen to is it time, I need to get to school, don't want to be late..... Well she goes to the afternoon class, which is great, the kiddos get to sleep in and we don't have to rush in the morning. So finally, the time arrives, we drive to school get in line and continue to hear when are my teachers coming, I just love how excited she is about school!!! I so hope she continues to love and be excited about school!

Fun at sports!!

Abigail started gymnastics yesterday and had a blast!! She loved it and can not wait to go back next week!! She learned how to do a somersault, handstands on the wall, had fun doing an obstacle type course, balance beam work, climbing wall, swinging, and jumping!!! We are excited to see where this leads!

Aidan has been having fun practicing his golf swing. He will just pick up his club and hit the bowl around the house. I think we may have a natural golf player! Guessing I may be a golf mom?

Change is a good thing!

So hard to believe, Abigail will be starting her 2nd year of  preschool next week and turning four in a month. These kiddos are growing up way too fast! It is all good, but I miss them as babies.

This is Abigail at her first day of preschool last year!

Here they are today! Such sweet blessings!

This picture was taking when Aidan was just a couple days old,
April 2011, really not that long ago.

This picture was taking almost a year ago, shortly after we moved to Kentucky.
Which will be one year in a couple weeks.
So much has changed since we moved here. Abigail started wearing glasses, attended preschool for the first time, and has made new friends. She has also tried and learned many new things. Aidan, well he has grown into full toddler mode, walking, running, climbing.  We rented and then bought a house in Kentucky. Found a new church home/family and made new friends. Which I am so blessed for! Family and friendships are the most important thing! God has definitely blessed us with some really great one's! It has made our many moves easier.
