Encourage one another...

Just a few articles I read this week that you may relate to or know someone that needs some encouragement.
Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Probably favorite of the week, heart touching/tear jerking.Nothing is ever in-vain in the eyes of God. Nothing is wasted.

Great marriage advice from the book I reviewed recently. No More Perfect Moms, this is about No More Perfect Marriages. "It simply means you’re normal—absolutely normal."

Yes!! First of all I love reading Courtney's blog, she is a down to earth, godly woman, knows how to shoot a gun, funny, and I can relate to her, like a long lost sister who knows me and what I have gone through. Anyhow this is a great encouraging series she has going on right now, this is the first one. I have been through and felt many of the things she wrote about. I am so thankful and blessed for my faith and the Lord getting me through the many moves we have made and dealing with my husbands job. I know a few mama's out there that have been through this and still are.

Exactly my thoughts~"“Enjoy your gift. Breathe in the scent of your child’s hair, breath. Let them cook with you and make a mess of the kitchen. Play hide and seek with them, build sand castles with them, take them on picnics, read to them! Listen to them, value and respect them, never shame them. Your words they will carry with them their whole life and you have the power to give them wings or stunt their growth. Motherhood can be tough but it’s worth it. It can be exhausting, boring, tedious, but never for long. You blink and they’re grown.” "So how the heck do we live in the “blink”, before our babies are grown…or gone?" Yes this one of those I know many mom's will relate to, have had discussions about this and I can't wait to read more.

Just some cute free printable quotes for us mama's!!

Here is some great advice a MOPS mentor told our group this week and sharing with you!
"Teach them with a PURPOSE, teach them with PERSEVERANCE, and PRAY." "Always obey God, the heart will catch up!"

Fun at the Fire Station!!

Today Abigail's preschool toured the local fire station. The fire chief and fire fighters provided some cute hats, crayons, coloring book, and information about the fire station, trucks, and answered questions. They let the kids play in and on their trucks and in the station. Aidan was lucky to come along, since daddy is working. Not sure which one had more fun though!

Weekly update of fun happenings and blessings!

It has been a great week of celebrating Valentine's!! Abigail had fun at her preschool Valentine tea party!

Aidan had some fun playing on daddy's lawnmower. Not sure what it is with this boy, he loves tractors and construction equipment. Probably good it is not trains ;)

We ended up our week having breakfast with my dad, also known as grandpa, who was passing through on his way to Florida with a load, we always treasure these little visits when they happen! Thanks for stopping by dad!!

Yesterday I took Abigail to pick out some movies at the library for movie night, thinking this will be a weekly date. Abigail and I watched Princess and the Pony and this morning daddy and kiddos watched Cowgirls 'N Angels, both good family movies.

We have a busy week coming up, but full of blessings! Bible study, MOPS, sharing yoga with Abigail's preschool class, preschool trip to fire-station!

Passing along a few article links that blessed/inspired/touched my heart:  “What do I want my children to remember me for when they’re grown?”

“How do I prepare my children to face pain?” Answer: teach my children to run to God’s truth

God has a way of perfect timing. There is a group of us ladies studying Beth Moore's Living Beyond Yourself, in the book is section about Love (one of the fruits of the spirit). We recently discussed, how perfect with Valentine's and now this posting: I find it so true, since I think of my husband as my best friend!

My heart breaks for this family and those families who else I know have recently lots loved one's. This is worth the read, powerful testimony "Beautiful hope- the very Glory of God Himself in our midst."

This is for all my mama friends.  "Motherhood IS my job. Caring for my home IS my privilege. Preparing a place of rest and renewal for my husband IS the important work to be done. There is a deep selfishness in my own heart that idolizes comfort and pride. It is the sin of desiring what I think will make my life grand more than treasuring whatever it is that the Lord has given to me…to do, to care for, to endure, to carry, to count as joy."

Proverbs 31 devotions always speak to me, and this one I know will speak to many mama's. "There is always an opportunity in the midst of our busy lives to be aware of God. As we find Him, experience Him, and listen for Him, our intentional steps will always lead us closer to His presence."

Looking forward to finishing this book and doing a study together with some other mama's in the near future. This is the best mom advice!!

Yes another Sally Clarkson post, can you tell I really like her? This one is something that is a work in progress for me "Busyness does not equal productivity,  accomplishment, or excellence."

I have been studying the Proverbs 31 verses and received this and thought what appropriate timing, but then that is how God works (His timing is always perfect!). 5 Things We Can Learn From Proverbs 31 To Help Us Be a Better Mother:

Maybe because spring is in the air I have been cleaning out and organizing our home this week. So have spent some time using some of the pins I have on Pinterest to help with this task.

I have also been in a fitness motivation kick, or at least trying to be, these are two of my favorite fitness blogs.
As some of you know, I am a certified yoga teacher (hatha, prenatal, postnatal & yoginos/children's yoga) Currently working on putting together some yoga info and classes for those interested, so stayed tuned. For now you can check out my yoga page at:

Do you like to clean, I do not like to clean, Sam I Am!!

Cleaning with children and a puppy can be a challenge, but I finally figured out how to make it more fun and also have help. Abigail and Aidan having been helping with picking up toys and dishes. Which made me realize, Abigail is now old enough to take on some more responsiblity and I am so happy to be passing on the dusting to her, it is the one chore I hate doing. Maybe it is because my mom made me clean every weekend, just kidding mom, you taught me great responsibility and I so appreciate it. I really don't mind cleaning floors, I actually might have the cleanest floors around! But dusting I will put it off, but now that Abigail is old enough to help with it, we may dust more around here! She helps with all the woodwork/trim around the house and items at her level, which is a big help, plus she loves it!! Another great plus to this, it takes half the time and it does make it fun when you have someone working along side you.

While Aidan isn't old enough yet, he enjoys vacuuming along side me with the toy vacuum, I wish it actually worked!!

And the puppy, Bear, well he is too scared of the vacuum, so he ended up hiding out under the bed!  Oh and yes, I love me some Dr. Seuss, in case you were wondering about the title!!
