I have my dining room back!!

A few weeks ago we ripped out the carpet in our dining room and hallway. Ryan also removed all the trim work and we went around and pulled staples out the floors to prepare it for wood floors! Ryan wasn't finding the time to lay the wood floors down due to his job, so we had a builder come and put the floors in. Ryan put all the trim back up and Monday moved everything back into it's place. It was a process, but I love my new floors!! Now I am ready for some entertaining in my new (to me) dining room!!

AWANA Program

Last night was our AWANA awards night program. Can I tell you just how amazed I am of all the kiddos attending and participating in this wonderful program!! Abigail is on her 2nd year of attending AWANA and this year I volunteered to help in the Sparks group which are the 1st graders. I was just blessed by these kids with there willingness to learn and we also had fun!

The kids received awards for participation, points, and attendance. All the kids worked hard, it was great seeing them get their recognition! I was just so blessed to hear how well Abigail did. She was one of the top three point earners of the whole group. She was super excited getting her medal!!

Yesterday was just one of the best days, seeing her praising and singing to the Lord this morning at church and at the AWANA program. She has a heart of gold and loves Jesus!! I feel like one of the luckiest mama's and so grateful for God for giving her to us! I know her daddy is proud too, he missed out on being able to attend the program due to work.

For more information about AWANA and participating check out www.awana.org
I highly recommend this program! These kids learn about God's Word, following Jesus, memorize scripture, and grow there faith.

Just a little rewind and happenings...

What's been happening in your life? Summer is starting and school is ending, yahoo!!

Last week Abigail had her end of year picnic and program at school, she has grown in so many ways this year and we are so proud of her!! She has learned all her letters and sounds, learning all about numbers, and ready to read,oh my!! This fall both of them will be in school, still wrapping my mind around how fast they are growing!

We enjoyed Ryan's off day this week, with little fishing, practicing golf swings, lots of outside activity, getting together with friends, and making progress on our floors!!

All the waiting will be worth it, we are about half way done!

Me and the kiddos also had Bible study at friends house this week, while us mama's met, the girls played dress-up and little man was busy lining up cars!

That is just half the line of cars he had going.

Today we had out last MOPS meeting of the school year and lunch with a sweet friend. Today a very dear friend of mine is seeing a specialist, so please keep her in your prayers.

Art and Books

Abigail loves coloring, actually anything art related. She would love to probably just do art all day long. Too bad her mama doesn't have the artist gene. If anyone knows of any local classes or programs for preschoolers please let me know.
Here is her most recent drawing. This one will be a keeper. I wish I could keep everyone of them, because I love them all! However we would have boxes and boxes, because this is a daily thing at our home. She does have a big project folder with crafts and school work that she has done. The one's we don't keep she likes to send them out in birthday cards or get well cards to family and friends.

In process...
Decided to add more, now it is finished!!

Sometimes, Aidan joins us and does a little coloring, but at this time he really prefers to play with the crayons. Here he is relaxing and looking at an Elmo book. See I am not the only book lover! :)

Bedtime Stories and Prayers, Little Blessings review

I recently read Bedtime Stories and Prayers, Little Blessings by Dandi Daley Mackall and Kathleen Long Bostrom to my daughter. This is what she had to say about the book: I liked that it teaches to be thankful, how God made me special, God's blessings, and not to be scared at night.
This book has four short stories that can be read in less then 5 minutes. It has cute illustrations by Elena Kucharik in the book. The book reads like little prayers. I feel this book is great for preschool and early elementary ages. The four short stories are:
-Bedtime Blessings
-Thank You, God!!
-Blessings Everywhere
-God Loves You
We will definitely be reading this book again and again. My daughter really enjoyed it.

As per  Federal Trade Commission, Tyndale House Publishers has provided me with a complimentary copy of this book for review.

Then there will be days like this...

So this is kind of part two from last's week post   Day Like This  When you have a day like that you appreciate days likes this even more....

Been a beautiful couple days, hubby is off work, and we are enjoying the simple things!!
Woke up made some pancakes, then we headed to the park for fishing and walking, later for some ice cream and on the way home, we decided to take a little detour to drive by friends of ours to see their horse, since that is all Abigail talks about. It happened to be perfect timing, we stayed and visited for a while, kids played with new kitties, rode horse, and saw some chickens. Blessed!!

Abigail getting her bait.

Notice the spiderman pole and yes daddy has Abigail's princess pole.

I heart these three!!

Before leaving the park, Aidan had to ride the tractor!

Abigail ready to ride!!

Aidan riding with his babysitter!

Today is house and yard work catch up. Also sneaking in time to be silly!

Happy May Day!! Hope your taking in time to deliver some happiness!!

This Bible verse has comes across to me several times this week. God is so good and so gracious!! Always thankful, always count your blessings!! Amen!
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
