Sharing my favorite reads...

We had another snow week here in Kentucky! Which means there was no school so we spent some fun family time together and yes the kids played in the snow. For me though it is still hard to understand shutting down for 3-5 inches, in Minnesota you just learn to drive in it. I realize though Minnesotan's are experts at removing snow/ice a lot faster too. But I am not complaining, though I am sure there are many teachers here that are not excited about having to extend the school year. I enjoyed not having to be any where and have time at home. I also got productive and started spring cleaning, did some baking, and got rid of some clutter (seems like I am always doing that though). Of course I did some reading too...

I know so many going through a rough time, as I keep them in my prayers and want to do more...this lovely post came to me. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18 http://nataliesnapp.com/2014/03/06/loving-hurting/

Decision making doesn't always come easy for me, I found this list helpful...“I tell you, keep away from these men (the disciples) and let them alone, for if this plan or this undertaking is of man, it will fail; but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You might even be found opposing God!” (Acts 5:38-39)http://tooverflowing.com/for-when-we-need-to-make-a-decision-10-quick-tips/

"I said yes and I will keep saying it–even when it feels small, even when I don’t know what to do next, even when I am inadequate. Because it’s not the results that matter–the success or failure–it’s that I am being obedient." http://wearethatfamily.com/2014/03/the-truth-about-church-no-one-is-talking-about/#sthash.HLELg1wd.dpuf

“The uncomfortable truth of doing what God tells us is this: It’s going to cost something-pride, time, money, bravery. But the reward of stepping into the unknown far outreaches and outlasts the price you have to pay.”  http://wearethatfamily.com/2014/03/the-uncomfortable-truth-about-doing-what-god-tells-us/#sthash.ieWAkTfw.dpuf

She has a great point and yes true, our greatest resource is the Bible, God's Word! There are so many good bloggers and books out there to read, I have learned to prioritize them and read only of few of my top favorite bloggers and friends blogs, otherwise it can get over-whelming with all that is out there. http://www.thebettermom.com/2014/03/04/go-help/

If you struggled with distraction (because I do) and looking for ways to sit at HIS feet this is good  http://www.karenehman.com/2014/02/5-ways-to-sit-at-his-feet/
