Love Fridays!!

I don't know about you but I love Friday's it means the end of the week, it means movie night with the family, it means tomorrow is Saturday. However, sometimes Friday is just another day of the week for us. This Friday is extra special as the hubs is home and off for a week!! Love, love, love it!! We are enjoying catching up on family time and making memories!!

Monday we got the best news, the hubs was released from his job duties in Wisconsin!! The kids were so excited, as I was too!! Five weeks was way too long!!

We had a great week, spending some time with grandma, seeing grandpa, enjoying the hubs being back home, and finally some fall weather. We had a short week of school this week. Last week we did a 6 day week and we are actually two weeks ahead of school right now, great place to be! So we are taking a fall break!

On Tuesday, Abigail had 4H and enjoyed learning about trees and leaves, and rabbits. I enjoyed it too because I got to spend some time with my mom and my homeschool mama friends!! Tuesday we also celebrated my moms 60th birthday!! We took her out to eat to her favorite places here. Patti's and Mama D's!! Wednesday my hubs redid a cabinet that is now in use in our school room, love it, much better then the diaper changing table I was using. We also said good-bye to my parents, my dad picked up mom on his way through and they headed back home with a load. Thursday the sun was finally shinning after a few days of rainy weather! We moved three bedroom sets around, so Abigail now has a big girl room, and we finally set up our king bed, and our guest room now has a nice queen bed! Tonight is movie night!! Tomorrow, we are going to go support one of our favorite little boys doing a fundraising walk to raise awareness and funds for apraxia. It isn't too late to join or donate, check out the link here:

This weekend will be full of outside activities and time with church family too! I hope y'all are enjoying the fall weather and activities!!

7 Truths You Need to Know About God’s Grace

Truth be known, all of the pictures I have of my childhood are great. But, I am thankful I don’t have a childhood filled with memories of my Mom and Dad on their phones – or behind their cameras every second we were together.

“Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults—unless, of course, you want the same treatment. Don’t condemn those who are down; that hardness can boomerang. Be easy on people; you’ll find life a lot easier. Give away your life; you’ll find life given back, but not merely given back—given back with bonus and blessing. Giving, not getting, is the way. Generosity begets generosity.”

A place where we pick each other up, and forgive each other, and point each other back towards Jesus.

It doesn’t make you a Christian when you attend church, just like going to a garage doesn’t make you an automobile!

Motherhood is not a hobby, it is a calling. You do not collect children because you find them cuter than stamps. It is not something to do if you can squeeze the time in. It is what God gave you time for.

Because motherhood is missional, there’s something of eternal value taking place in the realm of the unseen. It’s true — sometimes the only cheering a mom hears is when the lid of the ice cream container snaps open in the kitchen. But as mothers share the gospel with more souls than we can count and faithfully raise up the next generation, the applause of heaven echoes in eternity.

You see, I get you, because you are me sometimes. And I can look back at the darkness behind me and realize it wasn’t as dark as I had once thought. It had bright spots shining in when I wasn’t looking. Maybe when I was looking down instead of up.
