The Song devotional review and give-away!

When I saw this book come up for review, I was excited to read it. I enjoy reading devotions and hey the author is from Kentucky, plus I am looking forward to watching the move The Song, which came out recently! Check out the movie trailer here So you want to hear my thoughts on it.... Due to time of the review being due, I went through and read it and did some of the exercises. The daily devotions are on average three pages. For each day, the author shares about a situation (and most of us, or at least those I know can relate to these situations, they are situations that happen in about every marriage), apply a verse in the Book of Solomon from the Bible, along with another Bible verse to look up and study further if you want to take this study deeper, and you will than apply what you read and discuss. I so appreciated the guys humor throughout it, so you can read this together with your spouse and laugh too! This devotion will help you to learn more about each other,  reminisce about the past, and understanding God's Word when it comes to your marriage, love, and intimacy.

Some examples of the exercises:
~Take a few minutes to affirm and value what makes you different.
~Find ways to go somewhere together out of the normal routine.
~Talk and pray about your conflict styles as a couple.
~Revisit the last quarrel you had. (won't that be fun!)
~Talk about the time when you first met and fell in love.

Many probably don't realize this but the Song of Solomon is very romantic! So what better place to get marriage or love advice than to read the Bible! All marriages can benefit from a devotion like this, no matter if your marriage is great or going through a tough time, or you have been married for a short time or years! I think if we are all honest we can all say we have had some not so great times, but those are the times that will change you and your marriage for the better!  I would definitely recommend this devotional to all those I know who are married!

Song of Solomon 1: 2-3 Let him kiss me the kisses of his mouth - for your love is more delightful than wine. Pleasing is the fragrance of your perfumes; your name is like perfume poured out. No wonder the young women love you!

I am able to give-away one free book, so if you would like to have your very own to read. Please comment, prior to December 1, 2014!
