Valentine Celebrating

We have started a little preValentine celebrating, thanks to the grandparents for sending the kiddos gifts!! A couple weeks ago we decorated our place with a few vday decorations and then made Abigail's preschools cards and vday box! I love Valentinte's maybe it is all the pink and red hearts everywhere!! Oh and I love JuJu's but haven't had any yet!

Ten Month's Old!!!

Aidan is two months from turning ONE, yikes!! This baby stage goes by so fast! He is quickly growing and moving around! Getting into everything, and I mean everything! He is into exploring and putting everything into his mouth he can get his hands on. He is an active little guy, who doesn't like long naps. Starting to really babble. We love making him laugh, which isn't hard he finds the simplest things amusing! He is eating all different kinds of food and has not yet turned anything away. Looks like we have two kiddos who love food. He always gets compliments when we are out and about how good of a little boy he is. Again, we are blessed with two sweet behaved children, now there not always little angels! :) Aidan is a flirt, smiling at the girls! What I love the most is watching him and Abigail play together. This morning he tackled her, well not really, but he thinks it is fun to crawl on her and she does too. I know this won't last long, so enjoying every moment!

Today Abigail and I made her Valentine Mailbox for her class party coming! It was a fun project to do together and then of course we had to treat ourselves to a cupcake afterwards, it was lots of work!! :)

This week Abigail and Aidan both did yoga together! We are doing a little each day, fun indoor activity on these cooler and rainy days that we have been having. In addition, Aidan has his first tooth coming in and is mastering rolling over, climbing on things and able to get himself back to sitting all by himself. So he is not needing my help much in getting stuck, just help in staying out of EVERYTHING! :)

At preschool this week was Fairy Tale Days. Abigail was so excited to wear her princess dress to school. She loves dressing up and wearing the dress at home too. We sure have a girly girl :)

Also this week we started making Abigail's Valentine cards for school. They will be having a tea party and get to dress up! Here are the Valentine cards we made! I sometimes amaze myself! Anyhow there were fun and very inexpensive, but I think they turned out oh so cute!!

Just a little update....

Well little man Aidan is quickly growing out of being a baby. Down to three bottles and eating three meals a day. Outgrowing clothes quickly! Exploring and moving faster and faster, yikes watch out! Everything is just going so fast!!!! Need to slow down! I am trying to savior each moment throughout the day!

I love taking photos of the two of them together, because you can tell just how much they love each other and I pray that they will always remain close! They both melt my heart!!

While Aidan is busy exploring. Abigail is learning many new things through school and church. We love to play pretend: shopping, tea parties, and house! She has some fun events coming up at school that I can't wait to share photos of: fairytale day and a Valentine's tea party!!

When I am not busy playing with the children, family time, and the not so easy parts of being stay home mommy (discipline and housework, though there is a part of housework I like, I know I'm weird!). I am enjoying my Thirty One business, helping and participating in MOPS, and recently planning a Mom To Mom ministry for our community. A couple of us have been discussing getting this ministry going. We need your prayers and support!! Nine Months Old oh my :)

Aidan turned nine months old on the 4th, he is a growing boy, very adventurous!! He is fast, already into everything!! He is happy boy, loves to smile and laugh. He is definitely a people person, loves to be around people of all ages! He is starting to chat up too, the gaga's and today mmmmama!! He is still working on crawling, now doing the army crawl and trying to pull himself up on things. Today he was in bathroom drawers, not to self put everything up and lock it all down!! :)

He went in for his check up yesterday and is perfectly healthy!! We are very blessed!! He is a growing little man, he is in the 30th percentile for everything, so portioned perfectly too!! Right now he is 19.01 lbs and 27 3/4" in height!

Daddy was lucky enough to be home to go to his check-up!!

Welcome 2012

What a wonderful weekend, full of celebrating, though didn't do too much actual celebrating!! But lots to be thankful for!!
1. New Year's Eve was our seven year anniversary!! We celebrated a few days early knowing Ryan would be working. We have been so blessed and I thank God for bringing us together!!
2. My parents, brother and someday sister in law (hint, hint brother) arrived for the weekend!! We celebrated Christmas with them! Abigail had a great time with her grandparents, uncle and aunt! We did some shopping, antiquing to be exact and went to all our fav restaurants! Here are a few snapshots:

3. Last but not least, we all know a new year has started!! No new year's resolutions from this girl! I haven't done them in years. But this year I do want to focus on getting areas in our home and my life reorganized! Yesterday we started the Christmas celebration!! This is Aidan's first Christmas and he is a pro at it!! Abigail really had lots of fun getting the presents and opening them, loved each one of them!!

Today we will enjoy a special breakfast, open Santa gifts, and then head to church. Today will be extra special day for me as I will be re-baptized and become a member at First Missionary Baptist where we have been going to church. It is a glorious day, celebrating our savior Jesus!!!

Christmas is almost here!!

Are you ready for Christmas? We are, we have been doing our Advent puzzle and countdown!! Abigail reminds me every morning, which is a good thing, because otherwise I might forget. We visited Santa at the library the other day and when asked what she wanted him to bring her, her response OJ and this wasn't the first time she said that. She had visited Santa a few weeks ago, but didn't want to sit with, but when we asked her what she wanted she replied OJ. She is going to be in a bit of a shock on Christmas day!
We also have been taking in some wonderful Christmas light displays. One of our favorite things to do is go for drive and look at all the lights or go through Mike Miller Park. I am not really sure yet what she thinks about Santa and I don't talk about him too much. Honestly I find it a little hard to tell her Santa is coming and bringing gifts, feel bit guilty. I know I believed in Santa for a time, but don't really remember when I found out that he didn't really bring presents. I do feel that Santa does help bring in the Christmas spirit and I enjoy seeing Santa's out and about, but that we must remember what Christmas really is all about. So I tell her Santa brings gifts and these gifts are brought to remind us of Jesus birthday on Christmas day. So we are having a celebration to celebrate Jesus birthday and she loves birthday's!!

Preschool Christmas Parties

This week at school Abigail has a fun week! Monday Christmas party, Wednesday PJ Day, Friday making cookies!! Monday was a blast at her party. I went in to help, such a joy to watch the little one's interact and see them at school. On this day they had special treat plate, played some games and swapped presents.

Today is Polar Express PJ day at school!! I just know she is going to have a fun day!! First thing this morning she said getting up, wear pj's to school!! You can see the excitement!!

Abigail's Preschool Christmas Program

Last night was Abigail's Christmas program. I was so nervous and excited for her before the show. We didn't know what to expect, as she always seems shy when I take her places, so I thought she might get stage-fright. But she didn't, she totally impressed me, knocked my socks right off!! It was such a joy watching her, sure made us proud, not that we are not already proud parents, but to see her so happy and enjoying performing with her friends at the program was awesome!! She definitely was one of the loudest singers! She sure did sing her little heart out!!

This morning with Abigail I enjoyed eating: bologna, yogurt, waffles, vegetables, ice cream, milk, and OJ, while taking 1 minute naps in between our snacking. I so love her imagination and playing with her kitchen set!! Can't wait to see what we will be doing next!

This is a very exciting week for Abigail. She is getting ready for her preschool Christmas show, I can't wait to see her performance along with her classmates. She has been practicing and singing away at home, in the car, in the store... She is also great at making songs up, so good that maybe she will have a career in song writing!? It sure does keep her brother entertained, and we love happy babies!! :)

Our baby, Aidan is 8 months old today, not so much a baby anymore. I also still call Abigail my baby as well, no matter how old they are, they will will always be my babies!
Aidan is one active little baby, rolling everywhere, that is his way of getting around until he learns to crawl. He has been practicing and trying now for a couple weeks, so it won't be long now before he is a master crawler. He has been trying out puff cereal this week. He is very good at picking them up and getting him in his mouth, though a few make it to the floor. Reminds me of one of the reason's I miss about having a dog, always good at cleaning up crumbs and food off the floor.
Aidan loves to swing the golf club around, very good at hitting daddy in the head with it. He also loves to play with balls and remotes, we have to keep the remote out of sight or he gets upset if he can't have it. If he see's it left on the floor he will roll to it, he is one determined little guy!

Hope y'all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and remembered all that you are thankful

and are practicing the gift of thanks daily.

After a wonderful Thanksgiving meal and time with friends. We headed to Grand Rivers, which is about 15 minutes from us, to walk around Patty's Settlement and enjoy the lights!! Lots of ohs and ahhs from us!! Something magical about looking at Christmas lights and displays.

Friday night we went to Mike Miller park where there is another huge light display. It is amazing to see all the work and time they put into the displays. We also visited Santa while we were there, however Abigail wasn't wanting to sit in his lap this time, maybe next time.

We are so thankful this year to be celebrating Thanksgiving as a family together!! You railroad wives know what I am talking about (and military too). And not by ourselves or at a buffet, a lovely friend from church invited us to their home, so it will be nice to spend this wonderful holiday with friends!! It will make missing my family easier.
I am very thankful this year for our friends, both old and new. A MOPS friend reminded me of this song this morning, "Make New Friends, But Keep The Old, One Is Silver, The Other Gold...." I am so grateful for all of my friends that have touched my heart in so many ways!! Y'all know who you are and there are many of you!!! It saddens me sometimes to think I may not see some of those friends again that have have become dear to my heart, but they will always be apart of me!! This quote is so perfect: "Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born."
Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends both far and near and my family!! May your holidays be blessed, full of love, and joy!! Think of all the wonderful things you have to be thankful for and count your blessings!! Peace & love!!

Things that I am so grateful for...

I have been seeing on facebook & blogs many of my friends writing daily grateful posting and I love reading them. So I'm doing a list:
1. My daughter running and yelling mommy, mommy when I pick her up from preschool or church class!! How can you not feel extra special! Shouldn't we all be like that!!
2. Seeing my son's eyes light up and his little smile when I walk into a room. Sure does melt my heart!! Both my children mean the world to me!!
3. My hubby thinking of me while he is not feeling well and getting medicine, buying me boots!
4. My hubby forgoing sleep to spend time with us during the day after he has worked a long trip!!
5. The beautiful fall leaves and seeing a full moon!
6. How excited my daughter gets over seeing pumpkins for the thousandth time. Another shouldn't we all be like!!
6. Christmas lights!! My favorite time of year, driving around and looking at lights and Christmas tree's. Always feels so magical!!
7. God's Grace, that is a biggie, not so simple for us, but thankful that God makes it simple!! And yes that be another, we should all be like that!!
8. My hubby's job, it's not always easy, but I am thankful he loves what he does and does it so well!!
9. My family, my dad, mom, brother, grandparents, inlaws, aunts, uncles, etc...we all have family, and mine all mean so much to me, I thank God for all of you (even when we might not see eye to eye)!!
10. My friends, and I have to say I do have some of the most wonderful friends, some I would love to adopt as my family.
11. God's journey for me, wow, it has been amazing, not always wonderful, been some rough patches/bumps, little off-roading, maybe some 4x4 action, but I am starting to see the big picture! Some of those rough patches have been the times where my faith has really grown.
12. Yes, I think my hubby will love this, I am thankful that he moved us to Kentucky!! I love the season's, oh how I have missed fall after living in Texas! Plus closer to our family!
13. Thankful I get to see family more that we live a bit closer!!

16. Our good health, which should never be taken for granted!
15. and last but definitely many more, I could write all night, but this girl needs sleep, for which I am thankful for, a cozy warm home and bed to sleep in!!

I can't believe today little man is 7 months old! He is starting to get around, rolling all over, when he see's something he wants he rolls to. I am sure crawling will be next!!

I had the opportunity to help out at Abigail's preschool party today! Always a joy to see all the kiddos and to see how well behaved they are!

Fun week that ended at Wurth's Farm ( Preschool Field Trip)

We had a great week, beautiful fall weather, love seeing the leaves turn to bright vibrant colors and here in Kentucky it is very beautiful with all the rolling hills and trees. On Tuesday after Bible study we went over to a friends house and had some lunch and play-date. Wednesday we had some friends over for little playtime before story-time at the library, and then to top off the week we had our first preschool field trip!

It was a beautiful day for the preschool field trip to Wurth's Farm pumpkin patch. We rode a hayride out to the patch, had fun in the pumpkins, and headed back for some special treats. There were plenty of places to take some photos, though my sweet girl doesn't like to be in front of the camera, guess she gets that from me. But she sure had fun, I met some of her friends! I heard she has three little boy friends! Shhhhh...don't tell daddy ;)

Speaking of Daddy, he had Friday and Saturday off, so we were able to enjoy some family time. Today though he is on a train. Me and the kiddo's headed to church and lunch over at new friend's we have met through church!

Persistence, patience, & right time are what make successes!!

Since it is Fall Break here and there is a week off school and no plans for our family, we thought we take a try at potty-training again! Can I say we finally have success!!
What I have learned potty-training. That you need to be persistence, patience and lots of it, plus right timing. So really not sure if I was doing the training or Abigail was, because I also learned a few things.
We have tried potty-training in the past, all different methods. We went shopping Monday, she picked out some necessities, she wants to be a big girl and sit on big potty, not the training potty. Also what finally worked for us is no more diapers and candy corn (I am happy my daughter loves candy-corn, takes after her mama)! Plus books and singing lots of songs. Can we all sing together, BINGO, Itsy-Bitsy Spider, Three Little Kittens, Twinkle-Twinkle, If Your Happy and You Know It... and we are HAPPY, we are doing potty dances and high-fives!!
So PROUD of my little girl!! Now the agreement in our house is I potty-train Ab, Ryan gets to potty-train Aidan, good luck babe!! :)

Today little man Aidan turned 6 months!!! He has grown so much in such a short time. He is so into jumping and working on sitting up by himself. The ladies in the nursery at MOPS and Church just love him, they say he is such a happy sweet baby. Yes he is!! He loves to smile and watch his sister! I know he can't wait to be running around with her. Tomorrow is his six month check up.

This week is Fall Break, so all the schools are closed for the week. So we are attempting potty training again, since we do not need to be anywhere this week, we are trying it without diapers all day long. So far we are having more successes, yay Abigail!! It is a challenge and takes lots of patience, but we are determined to keep practicing. Practice makes perfect! :)

Scheduled Days Off

One of the many things I like about Ryan's new job with CN Railroad is the scheduled days off. He hasn't had scheduled days off since we were living in Texas for the last 7 years. We have been enjoying his scheduled days of exploring and having fun in our new home of Kentucky. This weekend we had breakfast out together as a family, enjoyed a little time at the golf course, and then explored Tennessee. While there we we had some yummy sushi, Abigail loves edamame! So I can see some future mommy and daughter dates for sushi, yay!! Then we went to the fair! Abigail had a fun time enjoying some rides with daddy, while Aidan and I hung out watching!

Sunday was another nice day, we took a nice walk around the lake in our area and took Abigail fishing at the local park. We enjoyed a nice celebration for Awana kick-off at First Missionary Baptist Church. Thinking we found our new church home!

We had a great time and are looking forward to the next scheduled days, which come every week!!!!

Today is Abigail's Birthday, so proud of her!! These three years have wonderfully blessed with her in our lives!! Ryan and I are such lucky parents to have her, she is teaching us a lot about being parents, thank you for being our first little "guinea pig"!! Abigail is a lucky girl, she received some more gifts in the mail from her Aunts & Uncles and Grandparents. I let her open up the rest of her presents after school on Friday for a special way to end the week! She loves opening presents and seeing her gifts. She even enjoys reading the cards! I tell ya this girl got some really cute outfits, wish they came in my size! Also some fun jewelry to play and wear! New movies and little spending money!!

Then daddy came home early from work, so she was able to open up her gifts from us!! We got her the cutest princess fishing pole and every girl needs a Cabbage Patch doll. I found one perfect for her, red hair and glasses, her name is Emme! After opening presents we went to try out her new fishing pole where she caught two fish, she even got to hold and put the fist back in the water. She loved every moment of it!! Just love family moments like these, making memories!!

First of all, so thankful and grateful to have my parents help while we moved and having my mother here for the whole week to help me unpack, help with kiddos, and fun exploring!! It was a fun week and I was so sad to see them go back home to Minnesota, but knowing they will be back in November is great. So this move to Kentucky does have it benefits I get to see my family more as the driving distance is shorter. Another big plus, the weather!!! We have been out walking everyday and no need to worry about heat exhaustion! Not missing the Texas heat or dried up grass, praying for coolness and rain to come your way!
My dad came back here yesterday to pick my mom up, but before they left we had a fun little Birthday party for Abigail. It was princess theme, for some reason this girl is a girly-girl and it has nothing to do with me. We had her favorite, pizza and ice cream cake for dinner! She had fun blowing out her candle and fun playing with her birthday horn's, and of course opening her presents.

We had a bit of journey getting here with a blown out tire which caused us a 3 hour delay! But I do have to say Benton is very nice!! Lots to do indoors and outdoors!! With the huge lake, there is plenty of lake fun, resorts, tourist shopping, golfing, horseback riding, and many places to shop at. Plus the big plus it is a lot cooler here and lots of green beautiful grass, trees, and rolling hills. Now all I am missing is my wonderful friends back in Texas! Soon I will get out after unpacking and get some pictures of our area!We are loving our new home!!

Not only did we move but also a lot of first, Aidan starting eating and Abigail started her first day of school!

What a week!! Full of emotions, blessings, and good-bye's, well not really good-bye's because I am hoping to visit and also cross paths with the wonderful friends I have made in Bellville again. This move though is an emotional one for me, packing and leaving a place I love so much, leaving behind friends that I love, the church that I have been involved at, my MOPS group, and mom's Bible study groups. Abigail is also leaving behind many wonder friends. I have enjoyed living in Bellville so much, favorite place I have lived, despite the hot temps, but is a place where my faith has really grown and have met the most wonderful caring people.
I am soooo not looking forward to Thursday when we do end up pulling out of our driveway one last time, as I am sure it will really hit me like a ton of bricks, right now it is a bit surreal. However, I do know that God has this journey prepared and that we will grow to love our new home too. Looking forward to seeing green, cooler temps, and maybe a little snow this winter (very little). I have already made contact with a new MOPS group, the Methodist church (where there is also a Stephen Ministry group), and Abigail will start preschool a couple days after we arrive. It is amazing to see God at work!!

Here is a day brightener, my lovely daughter singing & entertaining us all!! Aidan enjoys watching his sister!!

August is here!!

Aidan turned 4 months old on Thursday and Abigail got her glasses yesterday. Life is full of adventures right now! Plus we are getting ready to move to Kentucky. What more excitement could you ask for!!?

So today ask me how I feel and you will get a different answer then what I wrote about the other day~JOY!! Little hard to find joy when your moving to someplace you have never been and don't know anyone there. Though I know it will be fine, it is just all the unknowns at this time, plus dealing with moving, etc...But this is where it is important to always remember where I get my strength, guidance, who protects, provides and is constantly there and I will continue to pray and ask God to continue to bless us! This is what I know, I am blessed and there is joy all around me, so that is where I put my focus. Focus on the facts!

Here are my blessings:

Aidan is perfectly healthy and growing little man. He is now 14 lbs 9 oz. and 24" long.

Abigail is adjusting to her glasses, really going easier then I thought.

Next month she turns three!!!

A friend of mine posted a blog not to long ago about being real/honest, how some people never post the bad stuff only the good stuff, I so agree with her and loved what she wrote. Because I am all about honesty and my pet peeve is liars, along with people who wear socks with sandals, OK that is another subject. But having been through that where I use to blog more openly and post the good and the bad, I would get judgements from people, people assuming things, making wrong assumptions, etc...so I tend to keep with the positive stuff and really my life is full of so many positive blessed things, so I really do not have much to be negative about or complain about. So here I am going to be a little more open then I have been in a while. I have been having the time of my life!!! Seriously I am!! Really full of joy and fun!! I live in a town that has the most wonderful people!! I have a job that is fulfilling!! Love the church I attend, the first church I have ever really felt a strong connection too. Plus I am excited about the new MOPS year!! Most important I am blessed with awesome children and wonderful hubby!! Even though things in our lives might change soon and not sure how I feel about that. I am praying and trying to be patient to see where it is the Lord wants us. To be honest I have worry and I keep having nightmares at night which make no sense. So I try to stay focused on today, and not tomorrow. Not easy to do, sometimes talking the talk is easy, but doing the talk not always easy, right!?

Busy Fun!!

We have been having a busy fun time this last week of July. I helped with Vacation Bible School, my parents visited, Salinda has been here a few days, MOPS Leaders meeting, and to top of the week some fun-time spent at the local winery with friends!! It has also been so wonderful having Ryan off on vacation for the last couple weeks!! We got to go on two date nights, without kiddos!!

As you can see Grandpa & Grandma Wobschall are having fun playing with playdo and their grandkids. Abigail was especially excited, she same ampa and amma, so cute!

This upcoming week probably won't be so much fun, but we will make it fun!! Abigail gets to go to the dentist and gets glasses. We took her in last week, to a pediatric ophthalmologist. She has strabismus, I won't explain, but you can google it. Anyhow to correct her eyes and avoid surgery she will be wearing glasses for a few years. I am praying she will wear her glasses. I know she is going to look so cute with them on!! However, I am sure they will be cool for the first 5 minutes, just like a putting barrettes/pony-tails in her hair or wearing bracelets are, but she only wears them for 5 minutes or less. Then Aidan goes in for his 4 month check up appointment this week also. So a week visiting doctors and sitting in waiting rooms.
Abigail will be starting preschool in a couple weeks, so we will get to go school shopping, now that will be fun, I think!!? Only if we can avoid crowds of people and get good deals will it be fun!! Anyhow life is busy with two little one's so not much time to update, but there is a quick snippet of what is going on in our life.

Our first baby is growing up so fast!! Abigail sat very well, we thought we need distractions, so we had juice and a snack, but she wasn't even interested. Abigail had this look of what are you doing. Chelsea was wonderful, did an awesome job. Now our baby girl, looks a bit older, but still beautiful and precious as always!!

Today we celebrate America's Birthday and also Aidan's three months old. He is so excited he couldn't stop waving!!

OK we are not celebrating his Birthday, but it is a special day none the less. He has been a mellow boy so far, sleeps fairly well at night, naps are give and take, he likes to cat nap, but we are working on longer naps. He is smiling, entertaining himself in mirrors, grabbing at toys on his play-mat, and growing!! Does not like tummy time at all, lucky to get him to try for a couple minutes. He is enjoying sitting up and looking around. He loves to watch his sister!! They are going to have so much fun together when he is a bit older in another year or so.

My little man is growing!! He had his 2 month appointment and is doing very well, healthy as can be!! He is now 11 lbs. 3 oz and 22 1/2 inches long! Which means 25-50% for weight and 25% for height, not that those mean much to me but I know people will ask.

OK I have to share some good news!!! So proud of my husband!! For taking the time to fight our property taxes, we got them lowered $50,000!!! For those that don't think you can fight the county and win, it is worth the time and effort!! YAHOO!!

He does love looking at himself in his toy mirror. He also is fascinated by his sister and Abigail is a super sister!!

Today Aidan was Baptized from our Pastor friend Amy, surrounded by family (Grandpa & Grandma Cogley, as they are here visiting over Memorial Weekend.) and friends. The wonderful thing is the sermon was on Baptism, amazing how God's plans work out without having any planning on my part, as I didn't know that when I told Amy that this was the day I wanted him Baptized on. Abigail loves hitting her ball, as she says when she wants to go outside to play. She may be a little softball player? Though her brother can't play the game yet, doesn't mean he can't dress the part! Also Aidan has been smiling, though I need to be faster about catching that smile on camera.

Yoga Bonding Time

I am using my yoga skills and learning to teach my daughter yoga. It is also a great bonding time for us, since her baby brother arrived. She will do yoga with me with her mat next time mine or by herself to one of her yoga video's. From personal experience I know how beneficial yoga has been for me over the last 15 years. I have seen and read the many benefits for children. My hope is she will continue to practice yoga throughout her life. My only wish is I would have started yoga when I was a child, but then it wasn't taught where I lived.

Yoga for Special Needs Kids By teaching self awareness, self control, and concentration, yoga can also help to manage children who have been diagnosed with ADHD - attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder. Yoga has also been used with some success to help children with Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and autism. Yoga for kids has also been used to help kids with cancer cope with their diagnosis and with scary medical procedures.

Overall, children seem to derive great benefits from doing yoga. The next time you put on the DVD for your own workout, think about including your little one in the fun. Chances are you'll be glad you did.

Play Time and Bath Time

Aidan had his first official bath in his bathtub and loved it!! Now I can't say the same about Abigail's first bath, but now she loves baths. She enjoys swimming in the big tub! Abigail enjoyed helping and watching her little bro in his bathtub. Of course the boy peed, my gosh do boys pee a lot!! Need I say more!

This morning Abigail and Aidan enjoyed some play-time before Mommy and Abigail when to Bible study.

In celebration of Easter we all attended the Easter Egg Hunt Celebration at our church. And YES, Ryan was home to join us!! Ryan is usually on a train and misses holiday fun events, but since he is still on FMLA he was able to enjoy and attend with us this year!! We enjoyed some time with friends while eating lunch and letting the kiddo's play. Then the kids had an Easter egg hunt, Abigail had a great time running around collecting eggs, as you can see in her basket. Aidan slept through it all. Before we left Abigail and Kiya enjoyed some time on the swings while there daddies pushed them. A fun time was had by all!!

Tomorrow we head to church to serve and attend church service. I even have Ryan helping out, he will be one of the guys driving a golf cart around helping with parking and getting our members/guests to the church doors.

While we were in the hospital for our short stay Abigail came to visit her new baby brother. At first she was a little shy around him. Very interested in my bracelets (aka: hospital ID wear), but she quickly warmed up to him! Now the first thing in the morning she says is "brother".

Since being home it has been wonderful to see Abigail be a big sister. She is so helpful and thinks Aidan is her baby. We took some pics of her today and when we wanted to take him from her she said "no my baby". She loves to kiss and hug her brother, gets sad when he cries, saying "baby cry".

Family is now visiting us, our first guests, Ryan's dad and step mom. This weekend my parents arrive for a short visit, as my dad has a semi-load to deliver. Plus we have so many wonderful friends that are providing us meals and offering help, which we are so thankful for. I am looking forward to all our friends and family meeting the newest addition to our family!! So feel free to call or stop in! Bellville is really a wonderful supportive community and I am so happy to be raising a family here!! May will bring more guests Ryan's mom and step dad, plus Ryan's sister, and then my parents will come for a longer stay. Which will be nice for me as Ryan will be back to work, though I know he rather stay home with us all day, but someone has to make the money to provide diapers!! :)

Aidan's birth

What seemed like a long pregnancy, because of constant all day morning sickness, turned into a very fast labor and delivery! Not sure why I seem to have short labors, but I am very blessed and thankful to God! Because both times now I have been able to have natural non-drug labor/delivery, which is something I have planned for with both my pregnancy's. I try my best to eat healthy, stay active and do yoga, which I know always has helped me in many ways.
Aidan arrived at 8:17am on Monday April 4th!! Labor started at 5am on Monday morning, made a call to my husband who happened to be away due to work to get him home in time and a call to Tracye to take care of Abigail. After a few minutes of making those calls I decided to call Mona to take me to the hospital as contractions were so close that I was losing count and not able to walk. I kept on doing my yoga breath while I waited for my friends to arrive. While hoping hubby would make it to the hospital to meet us later. When I arrived at the hospital it was 7:50am. The nurse said you are dilated at a 9 and that I would be delivery baby anytime minute. I thought already no it can't be happening that fast!! Ryan wasn't there and at the time we there was no way he was going to make it, as he was in Beaumont. Nurse Nancy said we need to get everything set up and an IV in you, and make the call to the doc, but don't worry if he doesn't make it I have delivered many babies. I was still thinking it's really happening that fast!! The doc got there and says ok couple pushes and he will be out! Aidan arrived at 8:17am. 7.2 lbs and 19.6" long!! I was the talk of the hospital, they said they needed a drive through service for labor and delivery. We had an excellent short stay at Scott White in Brenham, the nurses were all wonderful, especially Nurse Nancy and also my doctor, Dr. Nobles!! Also I couldn't have done it without Mona's support!! Of course I must thank Tracye too for taking care of Abigail!! I know Ryan was so disappointed he missed being there for me and seeing his son being born. He did arrive a few hours later and is now enjoying every moment of having a son. We are so blessed and feel we have the perfect little family!! Thank you God above for watching over us!!

Outside fun

We are enjoying the nice spring days of Texas before it gets too hot. Abigail likes to help weed, scoop dirt, collect rocks and now today collect pecans. Yesterday she gave Scout some flowers! Which reminds me of a breath we do in yoga for kids: inhale breath in fully, ahhhhh exhale breath out, flower power breath~great for calming down an upset or strssed out kiddo. We haven't had to practice it much, as Abigail is easy going.

No longer the Longhorn Room!

When we bought this house Aidan's room use to be the Longhorn room, yes it had the Longhorn orange on it along with the longhorn steer. Well the steer head is still there but no longer a Longhorn steer, it is just a plain old steer. Ryan painted and redid the wood floors. Now it is a cute bedroom waiting for our new baby boy to arrive!!

YES, we are ready for Aidan's arrival!! His room is complete, all his cute little clothes all put away and hung up, toys organized, diapers and necessity's ready, bottles sanitized, crib and cradle ready for a sleepy little baby boy to sleep in and Mommy so ready to not be pregnant. Yes I know how much of a blessing it is, but at the same time pregnancy is not easy on me, with continued morning sickness, which makes a Mama tired and sometimes cranky. So Aidan, Daddy, Mommy, and sister Abigail are ready and waiting for your precisous arrival into the world. We are looking forward to meeting you very soon and already love you so very much!!

It is a beautiful sunny warm day in Texas, so I said to Abigail let's go outside. She said hat and jacket. Which is great, but she wanted to wear a hat and jacket to go outside and certainly isn't needed at all today. All winter long when it was cold out I couldn't get her to wear a hat and had to struggle to get her in her jacket. Not sure why all the sudden she wanted to wear a hat, but I wasn't going to tell her no, so she picked out her stocking hat and out we went. She sure looks cute!! Though I am sure the neighbors are thinking why is that girl so bundled up? :)

Family Fun Day!

Ryan was home for a couple days, so we took a time out day to play instead of work on house projects! We had a family fun day!! We started out the day going to an antique show in Cat Spring, which I highly recommend. Then we took a little drive, ended up in Columbus ate at Betty's Cafe, very yummy! Love little Mom & Pop cafe's. We stopped in at a friend's baby-shower. It was so much fun watching the mama to be open up baby gifts and spend time with them. Abigail had a great time being the keeper the bears for the shower game. After the shower, we headed to Katy for bowling. Abigail beat me of course she had bumpers, which is what I think is what I need to bowl, as it is definitely not a game I play well, but fun was had by all!

It was a nice windy day in Bellville yesterday. Ryan had a great idea to fly a kite, which he doesn't ever remember doing as a kid. I mostly watched on, as it looked to be an exhausting time. I got wore out just watching, have to remember I am in my last month of pregnancy.
Abigail loved it and was able to do it all by herself near the end. We had a lot of fun until muscle man broke the string. $5 for 30 minutes of fun, priceless!!

Aidan's Baby Shower

Over the weekend, Aidan was blessed by love of friends and many gifts for his soon to be arrival. I have to say I had the best hostesses. Tracye she is the ultimate party planner and made party favors, decorations, and sign. Kellie I have found out is cupcake queen, she makes the best cupcakes!! If you don't believe me ask anyone that attended. Mona was wonderful at helping and serving. Salinda who ended up missing as she got sick, but I know she was there in spirit! Ryan who just got of work came and picked up Abigail from the shower, so he got to take a photo-op with us! It was a wonderful blessed baby shower and I feel very blessed! I have the most amazing friends! Thank you for all the blessings wrote in the journal, support, and for the wonderful gifts. I am telling you, Aidan is going to be one of best dressed little guys! I know there were a few that were not able to attend and of course family because of distance, but I know you were also there in spirit. I love each and every one of you! Thank you for being a part of my life and I look forward to Aidan meeting ya'll soon!! xoxo

Just as Abigail got over the flu she got sick again late Sunday night. So off to the doc we went and this time I wasn't wasting any time. She was diagnosed with upper respiratory infection and had a sore throat and ear ache. Oh how I hate seeing my baby girl in misery. The doc put her back on antibiotics which I was really reluctant to do, because I hate having to take medication when I believe in so much of natural healing. But Abigail has been sick and not eating well so her immunity I am sure is way down. I have now started having her take vitamins/omega's, and probiotics to help build back her immunity and to balance her system back to good healthy balance since she is taking antibiotics. Hopefully now we will all stay well! She did make a quick recovery and we are now looking forward to celebrating my baby shower this weekend to bless the soon to be arrival of Aidan.

Today Abigail toured Faith Academy where she will be attending preschool this fall. I am very excited and really like how patient, caring, and loving they are to the children. I just know that this is the right choice!

Since she is well and it is nice outside today, we enjoyed a little time outside.

Ahh we survived the flu at our house, at least so far! I have been lucky not to get it and Ryan too and I hope it stays that way. Ab tested positive for Flu B earlier this week. When she started getting sick I started myself on some natural products/herb~ Elderberry and oscillococcinum (which my sis in law recommended, she is very knowledgeable when it comes to herbs and natural healing) and a little praying never hurts. Plus lots of hand washing after contacting Abigail, which I felt kind of bad about, but this pregnant mama doesn't want to get sick. I felt so bad for my little girl, never has she been that sick and seemed to be so miserable, it took a lot out of her for a couple days. Her fever did break finally Thursday, so Friday we were able to get back out and about. Enjoying lunch with a friend, which mama needed after being cooped up and being nurse. With Ryan working so much it gets hard for me to get rest, but when he was home Wednesday he was super dad, taking care of Abigail so I wouldn't have to be in too much contact with her and while he was taking care of her during that day, she was the worst, that was the day she decided to puke (sorry for the details), but as I say better him them me ;)
Yesterday she was back to herself, running around, eating, and playing mama to her babies (as you can see in the pic). Ryan took this cute pic of her just before bedtime.

Opening Valentine Presents

Yes this child is so lucky, her grandparents love her. She has received two boxes in the mail of presents. She enjoys every present she receives, when she gets clothes she says "cute", books, crayons, she says "wow", jewelry box and barrettes, again she is saying "cute". I know she is very thankful for her gifts, she certainly enjoys them. She also enjoys receiving cards, she calls them books and collects them in piles, sometimes she colors on them, other times we read them over and over. Thank you family!!

I am so excited that my hubby will have the weekend off, that never happens. So we have a fun date weekend planned. Saturday night is fundrasier dinner & auction for Faith Academy and Sunday night is the Valentine meal and entertainment at our church. Couldn't ask for more. Today we had the pleasure of watching Luke this morning. Him and Abigail enjoyed playing Little People together! Abigail also helped get his bottle and tried to feed him some cheerios. At first though she didn't want Luke to be on mommy's lap but after a while she became ok with it and kept saying baby shhhhh....certainly going to be a great big sis!!

Abigail loves playing with Aidan's things, I guess she is testing them out for him for when he arrives to make sure there safe for him. We got a car seat for him and Abigail has been putting her dolls in it and also trying to lug it around the house. Today though she opted for trying it out herself. She was able to squeeze herself into the car seat and cover herself up.

The other day, she got to practice being a big sister to Luke. Here she is rocking him to sleep. She got him to sleep for less then 10 minutes then decides to bring her loudest toy she has to give to him while he was napping. To say the least, the nap didn't last long. So now I know when baby is asleep, must move baby away from Abigail. But she has a fun time playing sister, she was helpful in watching him, playing with him, bring his blanket and getting his bottle for me. Of course she did try to help herself to his snacks out of his hand. I am sure though she is going to be great sister and love her new brother who will be here in less then 3 months!!

Today I had an OB appointment, the last time I was in I had to do the 1 hour glucose test for gestational diabetes, which I still feel to this day is not a very accurate test. This is because when I was pregnant with Abigail I failed it and they diagnosed me with it, even though I had no at risk symptoms the whole time I was pregnant, never had one issue with it or had high sugar. In fact my sugar was on the low end of the spectrum every time I had to prick my finger and get tested. So I think it is time the medical world finds a different way of testing for this. I sure do feel for those that do actually have diabetes and what they go through with testing and managing their diabetes, etc... So back to my appointment today and sorry for that rant, but today I got the results from my test and passed with flying colors!! Yay for me!!! Of course Aidan is doing great in my belly, moving lots!!

I have been working my new job at the church for the past few weeks and I love my job. I work three part-time jobs, Membership/Guest Ministries Coordinator, Yoga Teacher, and web & marketing for Country Collection Antiques, my mom's store. I really love all my jobs and feel so blessed to be able to say that. I know not many people can say they love their jobs. But I for one really do! Abigail enjoys being my little helper too. Here is she last Sunday as we were heading out the door and yes it was a cold one as you can tell she is wearing a jacket.

Lovey

We almost lost Lovey, well we did for a night. Thank goodness she still had her special blanket to comfort her. As we were putting Abigail to bed last night, we noticed no Lovey, we all looked every where and finally just had to say good night without Lovey. Abigail was ok, though she kept asking for Lovey while she was being tucked in. This morning first thing she said where's Lovey. So again I started the hunt and finally found Lovey, in the couch cushions. "Yay!!" Abigail said.
Funny thing is we actually do have two Lovey's and this is her spare, the other one's head is about to fall off, guess it is time to fix the other Lovey or buy a new one. I see Target still has them available on-line.
Makes me wonder if Aidan will have a Lovey and what his will be? I have seen other posts from other mom's about their children's Lovey. Really think it be cute to have a book of children's different Lovey's. Hmmm...maybe another project for my list.

It's that time of the year and I am already late...

New Year's Resolutions??? How many of you have thought about it or even made them??? I love planning, organizing, making lists, so resolutions come somewhat natural to my personality!!

So for me and my family this year, would love to have more quality family time, though not sure yet what that looks like. But I like to spend more time doing family things together, parks, events, hanging out with friends, art projects, etc...

We have house projects to complete and Ryan has been busting his butt doing them, so grateful he is so handy. The guest house will be done soon and so will Aidan's room!! Then it is just minor things or so I hope, though Ryan has lots of ideas. I guess we should prioritize projects and see what needs to be done this year and can wait till next year. But I also think we need to have a mini celebration a welcome to our new home for family and guests. So not much of a resolution, but it is something I want to do this year.

Personally, I want to continue to learn and grow in my yoga practice and share that with others. A goal of mine is to start a family and/or children's yoga class. Also continue to learn more about the word of God, continue deepening my faith, and sharing that through all that I do. Such as parenting, relating to others, working with others, and just everyday to day living. The church, bible study, and MOPS have been very helpful in growing my faith. One of the things I really want to do is start a mother's bible study group this summer in Bellville. If there are any other mothers interested in a bible study, please do let me know.

One thing that I would like to master is meditation and being able to stay present at all times. I have a tendency to be sitting and doing something, while thinking OK I need to be doing that too. This one will probably be the most difficult. I have struggled with meditation since I started yoga more then 10 years ago. But I know this would be a wonderful benefit not only for myself but for those around me, most important my family.

OH and most important is to prepare for Aidan's arrival!! Can't believe he will be here in about 3 months!!

So now that I have wrote these out for you to see, this will help me to stay focused and maybe ya'll can send me friendly reminders when I need them. I think this is something we all should do, write our goals/resolutions/wishes, whatever you want to call them, so that others will help us hold to them.

WOW, time is a flying this month already. So many projects on my to do list. Plus Ryan has been busy getting our guest house ready. So sorry not much to write at this time.
But we did enjoy a nice short trip to Austin to celebrate our 6 year wedding anniversary and to bring in the New Year! Wish we could have taken a few more days!! We enjoyed visiting with the Wooster clan, eating some yummy food (I swear Austin has the best restaurants), time at Zilker park, and just not having to do projects.
One of the item's on my to do list is to sit down and enjoy some time inspiring and focusing on some resolutions for my family and I. But for now I need to get back to my to do list...

One blessed little girl...

This morning Abigail did very well for Christmas. She received many wonderful toys (kitchen set from Santa, kitchen accessories, doll house, dolls, puzzles, shape molding set), clothes, and books for Christmas from her family in Minnesota!! All the new things are keeping her very busy!!

Today has been very nice and peaceful Christmas at our new home. We began the day with wonderful yummy family breakfast. Then onto opening all the gifts, which took almost two hours for Abigail, she had so many. We also received very nice gifts!! But so much fun watching Christmas through your child's eyes.

Oh Christmas Tree

It seems like years since we have put a big Christmas tree up, so I am loving it!! I love decorating and seeing all the Christmas decorations everyone does. This year since Ab's is old enough to start understanding we thought it would be the perfect time to start the tradition again. Next year we will be adding outside lights, etc...can't wait!!

90% of those gifts under the tree are for Abigail, hmmmm...can you say she is one blessed little girl!! I think it will take her a good hour or two to open all of them. She also has two other larger gifts, that don't fit under the tree. I can't wait till Christmas to watch her open all of them.

Also remember the reason for the season, CHRISTmas!!

Home Sweet Home

We are all moved into our new home and loving it! So nice to have all this room, though I haven't figured out how to clean such a large home yet. Of course still doing some organizing, need to work on Aidan's room, and have a garage sale. Ryan is working on organizing his garage/man-cave! But for now, taking a few days to enjoy our new home and most important ~ Christmas time!!

Abigail loves her new room and her new big girl bed. She sleeps very well in it and loves to sit and read in her bed. I know I am a lucky mom!! I am so blessed to have such a happy girl!! Because of all the extra room we have in the house she goes to bed each night exhausted, there is so much room to run around now.

We put our Christmas tree up the other night and Abigail just loves the tree, when she goes by it she says ohhhh treeeee. Also Christmas gifts have started to arrive from our families in Minnesota and I have to say, someone is spoiled little girl and it isn't me this time. :)

December Update

Wednesday we found out we are having a boy!! We are very excited, Aidan William's expected date of arrival is April 12, 2011.

December is a crazy month for us, not only is it the holiday season, but we also sold our house or should I say traded houses with a friend and closing December 16th. I have been busy making moving preparations, packing, and all the fun things that go along with moving (ok not so fun things). I am so happy today I finished shopping for holiday gifts, so that is one big check mark off my mile long to do list. But we are so excited that we will be in a new home in time to celebrate Christmas!! Abigail is getting a new room and big girl bed!! Aidan will have his own room when he arrives, plus we will have room for our family and friends to stay at when they visit. Well actually they get there own separate room and bath detached from the house.

Over the weekend Abigail and I have been enjoying time with one of my besties Salinda. We went craft and Christmas shopping, checked out the holiday parade, and tonight watching Eclipse. Sure has been a few fun days of girl time!! Hubby was even home to catch the parade this year too!!

I realize it is only December 4th as I write this but it already feels like the month is flying by with all the things going on.

That is a quick update, now back to packing....

Yesterday we signed purchase offer contract and are hoping to close December 16th. I know three weeks away, but we all want to be settled in our new homes in time to celebrate Christmas!!! Of course if you like to volunteer to help with packing, moving, unpacking, etc... we won't say no, we would love it!!!

We had a wonderful blessed Thanksgiving week. Time with family! Good Food! Beautiful weather! Plus we found a home we love and also received an offer on our home. Well..... actually we are swapping houses with a friend. We are all hoping to close mid-December to be moved into and settled into our new homes in time for Christmas!

Hodge Farm Tour

Our neighbor took Abigail and I, along with our visitors Grandma & Grandpa Cogley out to her friend's farm, Hodges Farm. A wonderful 1860 log cabin all done in primitative Texas antiques and New Egland pieces. Beautiful home, felt as though you inside a home out of magazine in Country Living. They also raise and make many of their own foods. Twice a year they feature an antique show & sale filled with many one of kind items and homemade local items. Abigail enjoyed the horses and chickens and of course the cat and dog.

What a month of fun Halloween activities. A couple week's ago we attended our church's Fall Festival. Abigail played games and won some fun trinkets. Yesterday we headed to the Halloween Pet Parade at the park. Tonight I enjoyed heading out the door with Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, aka the lovely Abigail!! We headed to a local church for Trick and Treat fun, where Abigail played games to win prizes, she did very well and had a lot of fun!! Then we visited a few neighbors where she got some special treats!! She really got into getting her treats!! Well time to retire Dorothy to bed time. Happy Halloween!!

Perfect Fall Weather

We are having some wonderful fall weather here in Texas. With that we have been spending lots of time outdoors. One of Abigail's favorite things is collecting acorns. Of course she loves going to the park and going for walks also. Daddy has been teaching her to skip rocks.
Yesterday we enjoyed the Austin County Fair Parade! I remember last year we were dying of heat, this year had to wear long sleeves. Love this weather!!

Fall is here, finally

Ahhhh the cooler weather is finally here and we have been enjoying spending time outside everyday! Playing out in the back yard, checking out the cows across the street, walks around the block, and feeding the horses down the street.

Yesterday Abigail and I checked out market days and then headed to Brenham for lunch and errand shopping. As I was having lunch with my little girl, I was thinking how relaxing and sweet this is to have this one on one time. Then I thought, girl you better take advantage of this while you can, baby number two will be here and then there will be two of you. But I know it will be just as enjoyable, but maybe not as relaxing. Will have to make sure Ryan and I both take time to bond with the kiddos one on one, as I feel that is also important as being together as a family too!

I am now three months pregnant with Baby A, still feeling the all day nausea and tiredness. I was hoping the nausea wouldn't last as long as it did when I was pregnant with Abigail, seven months. But at least I am healthy and we are all doing great! Plus only six months to go!!

Time to get out and enjoy that beautiful weather and head to church!! Have a wonderful day, much love to all my family and friends!!

As the lady at the front desk at the Clinic said, I can't believe she is two already, where did the time go? Exactly!!

Ab's had a good checkup and didn't even cry when she got her shot! Now she doesn't have to go back for a whole year, loving that! She is now 25 lbs 14 oz and 32 1.2 inches, so that puts her in the 25-50% for weight and 25% in height, she is growing and is good portion.

As some of you know our preschool experience did not go very well. At this time I will not go into details or what my observations and thoughts are. It was just shocking to us, as Abigail loves people and enjoys going to church childcare center and did so well at vacation bible school. Anyhow, as we were talking with Abigail's doctor about what happened, she said there have been some other parents with complaints, so that relieved us knowing we are not the only one's. She said one of these days soon she would be butting heads. Got love Ab's doc!. I am actually relieved she said that because as a mom I was questioning myself and having my own doubts, wondering did I do something wrong, did I miss out on teaching my child something or not preparing her? Sure I still have questions and wonder what exactly happened or why, but right now I am ok with it and am moving on. So what does this mean for us now? We are enjoying time at home playing, learning and preparing for new baby together.

Baby Swing

Today we received something for the new baby to be. A baby swing, and here is Abigail testing it out with her baby. Thanks Tracye, and yes it does work great!!

Last week my parents gave us a cute frame to put Baby A's ultrasound in. So here is a little peak at Baby A. We should find out the first part of December if Baby A is a boy or girl.

Baby A update

This morning I had my follow up OB appointment from my blood tests and ultrasound, everything is good and normal. Abigail was there this morning with me at my appointment, so she got to hear the heartbeat with me. Baby A's heartbeat this morning was 169, so good and healthy heartbeat! I believe that is the same as Abigail's. The wise tale is a higher heartbeat over 140 means girl, a lower heartbeat means boy. But remember that is just a wise tale, really doesn't mean anything except a good heartbeat!

More Birthday Celebrating!!

Abigail sure is one lucky little girl, she received some very special gifts from her family. She now has her own table/chairs, many new books, clothes (though she wasn't happy opening those, she threw those aside to go for the goodies), 4-wheeler, Elmo video (loves Elmo!), very cute art smock which her Grandma Woelpern made, fun paints, piggy-paint nail polish, new baby doll with diaper bag, and lots of money for her savings!! Thank you our Minnesota family, we love and miss each of you!! Also Auntie Rachel, Uncle Melvin & cousin Dezbah in Arizona, and our many, many friends throughout Texas!!
